About Me
Welcome to a new school year! I am your teacher this year...Mrs. Lasher! I am so excited to get to work with you every day and watch you learn and grow! We will do many adventurous things this year, while also making sure we are working hard! I am looking forward to teaching this grade level because the growth is tremendous!
This is my fourteenth year teaching in North Spencer. I have lived in Spencer County a majority of my life, with the exception of living four years in Indianapolis while attending Marian College (Indianapolis) and three years in Arizona while teaching at St. Michael Indian School on the Navajo Reservation (first grade for two years and fourth grade for one year).
I have a wonderful husband named Casey who works for JBI in Evansville and two energetic children named Cora (10 years old - fifth grade) and Joseph (7 years old - second grade). We live in rural Evanston with our horses, donkey, chickens, dog, and cats. I enjoy horseback riding, gardening, traveling, and exercising with my family. I would love to experience all 58 National Parks with my family. Another long-term traveling goal is to trek all seven continents. I have currently journeyed through four (North and South America, Asia, and Africa).
I'm looking forward to a great year with lots of smiles and laughter! :-)
